~*~ About The Chapels ~*~
©2008

The following pages are meant to inspire the reader in a spiritual manner, be uplifting, or perhaps just make a person laugh... and are a tribute to the late Sister Ani Eden.  We are women from diverse backgrounds and belief systems.   We hope our visitor comes with an "open mind" instead of a "closed heart", so they may enjoy our efforts.

You will find that much of the artwork used in the following pages was taken from my purchased software, as will be stated except such as on this page where there was not space on the image itself. Most appear to have come from old Christmas and postcards with the great respected works of such as, William Bouguereau of 100 years ago. Others are from my own, or the submitting Sister's, photography. I discouraged private photos that might be stolen like happens on the Internet. I have been very careful to try and make sure these were all legal.

Now the goal of page design, was to have the top have a chapel name picked by that Sister and an identification number. The style of Chapel name was what S. Ani favored but I do not know why she preferred to have the "Chapel" part first and I did not insist this way for the other sisters. The numbers then, helped me keep track of subject matter as I tried to keep each page unique; and everybody was given opportunity to pick their own number, after which, I just assigned a number as I worked along in our notes.

Sister Ani always insisted on a non deplume on the e-list board, so that no Sister felt intimidated by another... she wanted all on equal footing and I have done the same in this project with few exceptions... plus I did so, to make sure no Sister could be traced by anybody outside the group. After all this will be on the Internet for anybody to look at and I was keen to protect these women from "trolls".

Watch the Sister's choices of names closely too, and you will often see Biblical verse references, regional names that are feminized, and other interesting information. S. Ani always liked us to have a female name then male name for "equality in spirit" but again, I did not insist on this.

Then there was then a brief "something" written into the main body, to the left side (Ariel font preferred) and some place something in "red" to show respect for Life; red being Life's color (blood). Then I asked for a photo for the right side, most women though just gave me an idea of what they wanted and I tried to find a good match that met their approval. As you will see, this layout was not written in stone... each sister had to be happy with their Chapel, before it could go into this project.

Each chapel, when all are averaged together, took about an hour average to accomplish for each one, after I had gathered the data for that page. Some were done in about 15 minutes from computer experienced sisters, while some might take hours over a couple days of us going back & forth, until the sister was happy with what I did for her and her idea.

Let there be no misunderstanding however, for better or worse... "the buck stops here"; with me deciding what was/is acceptable or not on this project. No profanity. No pornography. No debasing of the human condition. No political outbursts. I might be persuaded but I will never be bullied or coerced, into accepting what I deem "out of place" to this project. I had a goal in mind with doing this and sometimes it was hard editing a great thought, but a thought that I felt, just didn't suit being here for the goal I had in mind.

I hope you enjoy what this group of women put together for your edification.

Happy browsing!
